Anyone get a great car rental deal on Priceline for October?

I already have a reservation with Thrifty but prefer to chance getting a car rental company inside the airport. Just wondered if anyone has been able to get less than $15 per day on a compact/econo car on priceline for October (mid-october). I've been bidding unsuccessfully for a couple of days. Maybe it's too early.

I am looking for a good rental rate for October also. I have not found anything as cheap as I have in the past. I have never tried using Priceline for a car. Is there a certain company that you end up with?

I have Pricelined hotels but never a rental car. I am scared that I am going to get on off-airport company. If you check http://www.biddingfortravel.com a lot of people have been getting MCO companies though.

I know what you mean. I usually find good codes and use Dollar or Budget. I would rather not deal with off-airport if I can help it. But, for a bargain...I just may have to

J have used priceline 4 or 5 times over the last couple of years for car rentals and have always gotten a company at the airport. For our trip this past May, I tried to get a compact car for $15/day. Didn't work so I tried for a midsize at $14 and got it! About a week ago I got a minivan for 9/30-10/6 for $30/day. Not a great deal but it was better than anything else I could find and I needed room for seven. Didn't want to wait and take the chance of not being able to get the minivan.
