Anyone get a CRT ADR close to trip?

i'm 3 months out from our trip and just tried to make ADRs. CRT is currently booked. I've read that if you keep calling back, you might get lucky and find a cancellation. Has this happened for anyone? If so - how frequently did you check back?

i persoanlly have not had to do this but i knwo people that have and they checked back like every other day... when it got closer to the trip they called every day.... one person i know even called the morning they got to WDW and they found her one..... Good Luck...

I did get a reservation close to when we were leaving. I called several times a day for days. It is like hitting the lottery. Call at different times of day and evening. It is very possible you just need to be persistent. I am sending you some Pixie Dust !!!!!

We booked a last minute trip- we leave on 3/1. About two weeks ago I made my ADRs. I called Sunday night about 9:50pm and I was able to get CRT dinner at 4pm (wanted breakfast or lunch but hey, I was excited to get dinner at such short notice!), and Le Cellier at 8:50pm.

We are doing Deluxe dining and also have:
Brown Derby Fantasmic package
Donald's Breakfast at Tusker House
Princess Storybook breakfast
Teppan Edo dinner
Coral Reef dinner
Cape May breakfast
Kona breakfast
Spirit of Aloha Luau 8pm category 2
Chef Mickey's dinner
Whispering Canyon breakfast
Sci Fi lunch
1900 Park Fare breakfast

The only thing that DH wanted and I wasn't able to get was fireworks time seating at California Grill.

My mom and I once got a walk-up lunch during the week before/week of Thanksgiving. People who say magic doesn't happen have never been to Disney! In all seriousness, though, if you call back everyday and are persistent about it then something may open up!

Aprroxmatley 6 years ago, my sister got up early in the morning and went to the phone in the lobby of our hotel and called the dining place and was able to get a reservation for that day. I can't remember what meal it was, but she was soooooooo excited!!!! ( and let me let you in on a secret...she was 22) (to this day she still talks about her dream coming true when she got to eat in Cinderellas Castle)...so my advice is to keep calling even when you are down there!! Sending pixie dust your way!!

I booked an ADR for CRT in mid December for February 12. It was the only time/day available for our entire 7 day trip. My guess is that someone had just cancelled. Definitely keep checking back...also check the Cancel/Transfer/Trade ADR thread. Good luck!

Last year I was able to book lunch at roughly 45 - 60 days out. Keep trying!!

I've basically been calling whenever I think of it (about 4 times a day ;-))....so hopefully the dining stalking will pay off ;-)

Our friends called from DTD on a Friday night and got breakfast for Saturday morning.

Never give up, even once you get there.

I called EVERY day the like 5 weeks before our trip (Thanksgiving week, mind you, so it was VERY busy) and finally - 3 DAYS before we were to leave, I got an ADR on the exact day I needed it! So, do not give up - whatever you do! Actually, the time I called and got an ADR was my 2nd call in the same day, so don't limit yourself to just once.
