My TA said that none of the category 1, 2 and 3 rooms were released on any of the summer 2005 cruises for some reason. She had to put us on a waitlist. Was anyone able to book one? I really hope this waitlist comes through because if it doesn't we won't be going.

From what a Castaway Club CM told me yesterday, when she booked us in a Cat.4 and waitlisted us for the Cat. 3, Disney wanted to wait a day or two before releasing the Suites. I do know that the waitlist became so long for those few suites that, at least for the FL to CA repo cruise, they are now listed as sold out.

I was told that they would start calling those first on the waitlist in the next "few" days.

Hope this helps!

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that those went to some of the Disney/DCL execs.
Good luck on your waitlisting though, here's a little :wizard: pixie dust for you!

Good luck everyone in your quest to get the perfect room! Here's a bunch of pixie dust your way!

I'm sure that DCL is still working on getting through the waitlist. This is a bunch of weeks that they're working on all at once.

Hang in there! :D

We faxed in our request for a Cat 1 next summer about 2 months ago, so I know they've been collecting requests for quite a while. I haven't heard anything yet, so I'm guessing it's not looking good for us.

Congrats, Cotomom! I hope we are as lucky as you and get a Cat 1 at least once.

We ahd waitlisted for a cat 1 for July 2005 and heard nothing! Now not sure we will go on Disney.

I'm with you, BethA. I had no idea that you were allowed to fax requests in before dates were even released. These cruises were not even announced until Wednesday. Seems very unfair.

On our cruise last March(2003) we put in a request for a Cat 1 during the summer of 2005. I got a call on May 5th from DCL saying they had booked us in a Cat 1 suite for the June 25th cruise.

When we were on our cruise this April we put in a request for a Cat 1 for summer of 2006 & 2007.

I know it may not seem fair, but we learned from experience that if you really want a specific cabin you need to fax in a request even if the dates are not released. It does help to be flexible on dates. For us, we put down the middle of June to the middle of August and we figure we will take what they give us. I was told by inventory control that they put these faxes into a file folder and once the dates are released they start going down the list. It would not surprise me if all of the suites were booked for the repo cruises from the faxed requests.

We're on the waitlist for a Cat. 3 but I'm not too optimistic. It is for the 14 day CA to FL.
