I will be short some money when next week rolls around for my payment. Thinking of gambling for it. anyone do this? know its risky but hey i don't have all the money anyways.

How short are you...

A LOT short or possibly could get a short term loan from someone short?

$500 i am going to ask my brother but I can't pay him back till late Oct but if all else fails gamble:)
I should of had the money but I have a home day care and I got stiffed by 2 moms. 1 mom is comming back in Aug but she never told me she was not going to need a sitter for the summer which I was counting on and the other mother had 2 kids and fell off the face of the planet. Her phone is even disconnected. and she owes me more then enough to pay what I owe. Bad thing is I was nice to someone who needs time to pay and she just disappears and ruins it for others now.:(

PLease don't do it. Casinos are not built from people winning. The chance of winning is definitely a long shot. Save your money.

Gambling is fun when you can afford it. I know as the gaming industry is how I have made my living for the last 16 years. I have seen many more people lose than those who win.

As someone who runs bus tours to casinos, take this advice:

Never, ever, gamble money you don't have.

In fact when gambling you have to go into it with the attitude that you're SPENDING the money on entertainment. Whatever cash you happen to leave with, if any, at the end is just a bonus.

The only kind of gambling I'd do in your case is to take $1 (and that's it) and buy a lottery ticket.

I realise take what you plan to lose. In 99" I went everyother day for 6 months with husband and father inlaw when he was trying to save his house. He always won cause he read books and went to seminars but you have to have money. Most he won was $9,000 in 30 minutes on craps but you have to have the money to win. He know host clinics. We don't have the money and hope for sure luck. I figure as it is i don't have the money so i gamble what i don't need and if i lose I at least had fun losing it and still can't go.

I'm not a gambler. I'd be too afraid that I'd fall deeper behind! Could you borrow the money from a friend or family member?

I really think if you explain the situation to a friend or relative, they will be willing to loan you the money. Esp. if the alternative is you gambling it away an dnot only being out a trip, but out what money you did have.

People rarely win at gambling. Your odds of winning without spending nearly as much as probably less than your odds of being struck by lightning.

Case in point - My mom called me the other day to tell me she'd hit a $700 jackpot in a casino in RI. That sounded great till I found out she'd spent over $1300 there that day, prior to winning and $700 would be what she came home with.

PLEASE DO NOT DO IT!!

Get a loan from someone...You are better off..

If you gamble it, you are likely to lose more and therefore need more for your trip.

In Black Jack, you need other players knowing what to do...

I was in the Bahamas working last weekend(really...we had a conference in Nassau) and the resort we were at had a casino. I took 20 bucks in there along with the match play coupons. I was up to $95.00 when the idiot at the end of the table on Black Jack hit on a 14. Dealer had a 6 showing, so you automatically think he has 16. The rest of us were all staying...This Brain Surgeon hits, takes the dealers 10 and then the dealer pulls out a 5 and drills us. It got me for $45.

Went back later and was up to 150.00 when luck ran out. I didnt go below my 20.00 that I went in there with. At least I was playing with thier money.

Dont gamble it. Its not worth it.
