Is anyone back from the AP cruise and how was it? We're planning a cruise next January and are wondering if we should plan on the AP one (if they do another!)
We are back from the AP cruise.....it was WONDERful, of course. We tried to book another AP cruise for next year, but there has not been one planned as yet. We did book a 4 night for the end of Jan. 2005 (got rooms 5520 AND 5020). Danielle, the CM doing the booking, was hoping for an announcement re: AP cruise, and said we could switch if it is announced later. She also said if there is another, it MAY be a 7 night.
We just got back and it was a lot of fun. It wasn't much different from a regular cruise excpet there was some special programming just for AP folks. We had an Imagineer on the ship who talked about developing Mickey's Philharmagic and gave a sneak peek at Stitch's Escape just for AP holders (there was a raffle and some prizes were given out at the talk). There was also a special passholder sandcastle building contest on castaway cay (DH and I won a great prize in that one). There were special pins available for AP holders and other passholder exclusive merchandise available. We got some free gifts and the chance to meet and just be with other passholders. All of our dinner companions were AP holders (I don't know if this was coincidence or planned). It was just fun to meet and greet other ap holders. But on the whole, it wasn't much different from a regular cruise. We did get a slight price break on our room, but it was not so great a discount as you can get at the resorts.
