I was in Italy a few years ago and I met an Italian guy and started talking to him. He asked me where I was from and when I said NJ, he asked, "What exit?" The funny thing was, he had no idea what that meant. He explained that a friend of his had moved here and told him that if he ever met anyone from NJ that he should ask what exit they were from, he just never explained why.
