Anyone From New York..............

MOO, Finally someone who agrees with me AHHHHHHHHH! THANKS. What is that air deviation? How much? and what does it include?

No problem Sillysmom,

Anytime you make a special request on your air, it would be considered air deviation. We requested direct flights and to arrive in Florida before 1:00. We already had requested going in a day early, which is the price for the night at the Hyatt. DCL will charge you $50.00 per person, plus the difference (if there is any) of the bulk rate air, and the new air. To me this was so worth it after how my family went this year. They flew out of LGA on a tiny little 40-50 seat plane into Pennsylvania, and then on to Florida. It is common not to have direct flights with the bulk air package, but there is no way I would get on one of those tiny little planes.

If it was during the summer months we cruised, I would definately book my own air, but we go during Presidents week, and there is too great of a chance for snow delays. I want DCL to be in charge.

Hey Sillysmom,

Have you heard from DCL yet about your flights, Where on the cruise the following week. April 10th, Western.

We still don't have flights yet but have been playing the online game of looking for the best flights. Probably will fly out of Isp as it is just 10 mins from our house. Many a days the planes fly over our house on their take-off or landings.

I hope you didn't forget to get insurance. Thats very important as you never know what might happen and cruises are alot of money to just throw away.

Good luck on your cruise and enjoy. St Thomas and St Marten
are nice ports to visit but Castaway Cay is the best.

If you have any questions about Disney cruises just ask away as it's getting real close for you to sail away.

Just wondering why you would rather go to JFK or LGA rather than ISP its much easier and less traffic

Also SWA has great fares

but then my drive from the east end ,,, I want it to be as short as possible.. ya know how those NY drivers are
I have nothing to add to this other than to say HI B 2 C from Southampton Village  !!!

sillysmom,
We don't cruise until September but we do go to WDW at least once/year. We have always taken Delta from LaGuardia. Yes I prefer LaGuardia because it is less of a hassle to get in and out of the airport.
Delta's low cost carrier Song has a flight out of LGA at 6:30 that gets into MCO at 9:21 AM. I have taken this flight several times when it was a regular Delta flight. It was great, we were at WDW checked into our room (room usually isn't ready) and seated for a late breakfast/early lunch by 11:30!
This March we are booked on American out of LGA leaving at 8:50AM and arriving at MCO at 11:45 AM. The price was better and my friend is tired of going to bed at 9:00 PM to get up at 3:00 AM and leave by 4:00 AM. We are both nuts about getting to the airport early!
I did check the flights from JFK but they alll seem to be leaving later.
BTW we are DVC members and always let DVC member services book our flights. We get good rates and they have always been great. Even when we had 8 people leaving on 2 different days, coming back together with 4 different credit cards and different seating preferences they were super.
We did fly out of ISP one year on Delta Express. It was convenient to park and the airport terminal is nice and compact (The way MCO was about 25 years ago). We always bring bagels or something to eat on the plane.
:wave2:
Have fun!

The flights out of LGA are usually very early in the morning if you are flying out on Saturday for the Saturday sailing. That is why we go a day early now:rolleyes:

Also LGA is known in the industry as being the worst airport as far as delays and cancellations.
We fly SW from ISP (literally three miles away), I just booked our air fare and got $79 one way. Last year I got an amazing $49 rate!!

I guess it all depends on which airline you're flying, right?? Or does DCL only book with one airline? Once you know the airline, go to their website and check the schedules.

And you still may get the $49 fare again. It is still early, and I find SW lowers there fares when it gets closer to the fly date. Keep checking the website.
