Anyone From Mystic, Conn???

My husband and I and our 10 year old daughter would like to visit Mystic conn this june....last week probably for 3 nights...we would like a nice hotel ...near teh water would be good and see a basketball game at mohegan ...I guess there is a womans pro team that plays there...and my daughter loves basketball.....any recommendations on nice places to stay????

I'm not from Mystic but we spend time there every year - there's a Hilton right across the street from the Aquarium which is nice, and if you don't mind driving 10 minutes there's a Marriott (with the Elizabeth Arden Red Door spa! ) in Groton (just a couple exits before Mystic).

There are a number of motels in the Mystic area that are less expensive than the Hilton and Marriott. Friends stayed at the Comfort Inn and it was good for them. Nothing luxurious but clean and reasonably priced. There are others nearby too.

The CT Suns (basketball team) are playing Indiana the last Friday in June. Check out the Mohegan website for game tickets. Also a lot of fun is the Aquarium, Mystic Village and downtown.

For a great seafood dinner, we love Abott's in Noank, about a 15 minute drive away. Great fresh seafood right on the water. A lot of fun to watch the boats going in and out of the marina. Have a good trip. Jay
