Anyone from Myrtle Beach?

We are thinking of spending a few nights in Myrtle Beach this summer. Family of 4 with 2 teenage daughters. We would like to stay on beach, any recommendations? Also any fun things to do in the area that only the locals know about?

We usually hit Myrtle 2-3 times a year - we've been staying at the Avista in North Myrtle lately. It's a nice stay - beach, lazy river(in/out), 2 outdoor, and 1 indoor. There is plenty to see in do.............
