Anyone from Georgia/South Carolina?

I'll be flying into Atlanta from Toronto for a business trip on Saturday Feb 8 and will have most of Saturday and all day Sunday to myself. Ultimately I need to be in Augusta by Sunday night, but would like to do a bit of exploring and shopping on the weekend. Are there any good outlet malls between Atlanta and Augusta? Or are there highlights that I shouldn't miss? I'll have a car, but won't be venturing out on my own after dark in unfamiliar territory!! Any suggestions? Thanks, Jo

There are a bunch of outlets in Commerce, GA. It's not exactly in between Atlanta and Augusta, but it's not far off, either.

I've only been to Augusta once for a few hours to eat BBQ, so I don't know much about that area. I'd probably try to stay in Atlanta for most of your free time since there is more to do there. There are several Atlanta-area DISers who could probably make some suggestions.
