Trying to find a place to stay during Sturgis week this summer..... I can not believe how much it is for a night's lodging!! eeek.

If you live there, or near there, and have any 'insight' for some way to get a cheaper rate, can you let me in on it?

Thanks:thumbsup2

I was just reading about a very haunted hotel in Deadwood SD. If you stay at a haunted hotel and encounter anything paranormal, please post!

I spent the summer in the Black Hills one year when I was in college. If I remember correctly, Deadwood is 1-2 hours from Sturgis. Deadwood was a fun town to visit. I especially liked the graveyard where Clammady Jane and Buffalo Bill were burried.

No, it's not that far from Deadwood to Sturgis. It's only about 16 miles. Only one of the reasons I want to stay in Deadwood :)
I have been to Deadwood before and really like the town.
