Anyone for Dec 2008???

Great Job MS*Mountianeer... You can add DH and I to the list we will be there Nov 29th - Dec 6th. .... So EXCITED!!

Yikes!!! :scared1:

I got Spirit for $212 a person (including taxes, fees, etc ... but I still have to pay the extra $20 per bag ...) - guess they must have raised their prices right after we booked ...

But I just went on-line and checked - they've gone up a little, but not THAT much!! Are you sure you put in the right dates and # people?? Or were you going for the "big front seats"? ... :rolleyes1

You might also want to check out Continental out of Newark - we did that last May, and it wasn't too bad ...

With the price of gas increasing daily - and considering tolls and wear and tear on the car - it still might be "cheaper" to fly ...

Nope no big seat I wish for that price, I tried to book 2 adults and 2 kids and it came up to the $1453

Newark is not a good alternative for us since we live 3 hours south of it. Philly is our alternate.

Even when I calculated fuel at $4.00 a gallon and overnight stay in NC/SC it was about $700.00.

Thanks for the suggestions, we are not going till Dec so I still have time to decide.

Just wanted to let people know that the entire month of December has been opened up for La Nouba tickets. I just purchased my tickets for Dec 5th Section 203 row EE !! Can't wait!!

Tomorrow morning at 7 am I will be on the phone making my ADR's :cool1:

Thanks for the La Nabou tip! My mom really wants to go to that so I may just have to buy tickets!

Just booked Dec 11-14. I may add more days, but booking that before we left is the best cure to the post-Disney blues!

How has everyone done with making ADR's already? Our 180- day mark was last wednesday and I'm still waiting to hear from my TA....beginning to worry a bit so I'm going to call her this afternoon. It's making me crazy that she may have my ressie times/days and I don't have them in the schedule! :rotfl2:

I hope everyone has had good luck so far!

Our 180 day mark is next week and I am clueless. Well sort of. I've never done this before so it is a little overwhelming. Our family is pretty fussy as to what we will eat so I am worried that we will be eating a lot of CS meals even though we are paying for the dining plan.

I had a TA redo our resort ressies last week. I have never worked with a TA before. Am I supposed to let her do my ADR's or can I just do them myself?? She said something about my 180 mark being the 23rd and its the 17th. :confused3

As long as you have a confirmation number you should be able to make your own ADR's.

You just call and they will ask for your information and if you are on the dining plan and you just start telling them what day and time you would like for each restaurant and they will tell you what they have available. If you schedule it they will give you a confirmation number for each reservation. I always take those with me just in case.

Just my opinion but if you are really doing mostly CS the dining plan is not worth it.

We will be making ressies for a TS meal for every day and I think twice a day a few times. My concern is that I am the fussiest person about food and I am worried I wont eat much.

*On the plus side....I might come home from vacation a few pounds lighter than when I left. :rotfl2:

I made all my ADRs this morning ... :cool1:

The complete story - along with some hopefully helpful hints - is already on my PTR ... :surfweb:

TA did ADR's this a.m.

I'm really pleased with them. We are doing the dinner at castle the day of MVMCP with BBB prior to dinner. This is so ideal!!!:cool1:

Now I must wait for CP to get released and then we are done!!!! I will post them in a bit!

Thanks for the reminder!! :woohoo:  Once I read your post I looked at the calendar, and I realized that I get to make mine in the morning as well. Since Orlando is an hour ahead of my time, it means that I will be up at 5-5:30-ish am (my time) to make sure that I am totally awake to be able to make the correct ADR's. This is the first time that we are using a DDP (we're using the DlxDDP), and it is the first time that I have made this many ADR's. Hopefully, we both get all the ADR's that we want.:goodvibes

Here are the ADR's I am have scheduled for our visit

Arrival day
Sun 12/7- Dinner at O'Hana's

We are staying at the Poly so I hope to get checked in, go to MK for a bit before they close to general public at 7 for MVMCP, watch Wishes on the boat back over to Poly, enjoy dinner then hopefully :goodvibes our luggage will have arrived ane we can get settled in!

Mon 12/8 - Chef Mickey's Dinner - No idea about our day plan but is a MK eve EMH so will will head there after dinner

Tues 12/9 - BBB for dd followed by dinner at CRT then MVMCP! :santa:

Wed 12/10 - Akerhaus Storybook Princess Breakfast (late seating thankfully since at mvmcp the night before) We will spend the day at Epcot then head to Whispering Canyon for dinner and to check out the holiday decked out WL!

Thur 12/11- Kona Cafe for dinner-

Fri 12/12 - Lecellier dinner (hopefully will get CP with this when released!)

Sat 12/13- 1900 Park Faire Dinner (MK is open until 11p so we will head there after dinner that eve)

Sun 12/14- Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package- This is a EMH eve so we may come prior to dinner for rides and stuff.

Mon 12/15 - Farewell breakfast with Lilo and stitch at O'Hana's :(

As you can see, I still have not worked on our touring plan too much. DH sort of hates for us the be "scheduled" on vacation so I usually use the ADR's as a starting point and then map out a couple of options.

When we went last October, we only went to MK and Epcot. We found plenty to do at those 2 parks, enjoyed hanging at the Poly and when we left we did not regret not doing AK, DHS and DTD. Now we have 2 extra days and have plenty of time to check out all those places.

I would love any input??? Thanks!:goodvibes
