We're going 7th Dec - 23rd Dec (well we land in the UK on the 23rd, fly back 22nd). I'm thinking do all the bits we want to do in parks the first week, then chill, take it easy, see the resorts the second week

We are fellow NJsians, we are staying at WL Dec 7-13, and are driving since Spirit is $1453.00 from AC for the 4 of us.

Yikes!!!

I got Spirit for $212 a person (including taxes, fees, etc ... but I still have to pay the extra $20 per bag ...) - guess they must have raised their prices right after we booked ...

But I just went on-line and checked - they've gone up a little, but not THAT much!! Are you sure you put in the right dates and # people?? Or were you going for the "big front seats"? ...

You might also want to check out Continental out of Newark - we did that last May, and it wasn't too bad ...

With the price of gas increasing daily - and considering tolls and wear and tear on the car - it still might be "cheaper" to fly ...

We are in for December too. 12/27-1/3 at POR. I just booked our flights this morning on Jet Blue.

Well - maybe it means both ...

As per the "UG", I did a test run for our trip last May to make ADRs for Cindy's Castle (and to ask a few questions ... ).

I was 184 (or thereabouts ... I know it was "early") days out ... and the CM I talked to actually took my ADRs for the whiole trip when I called (I remember, because it was a Sunday night and I was surprised that I could do it ... ) And the CM told me about the 180+10 days ...

So could that 180+10 days be subject to some interpretation/flexibility by the CMs ? Or could it be you can make ADRs for your entire trip at the 190 day point? Or could it be if you call "early" and are really nice and pleasant on the phone with the CM - and he or she is in a really good mood - you may just get dosed with some pixie dust?

.. so we might as well try calling earlier ...

It makes sense - just another benefit of staying on-site? ...

So - someone out there who is going in late-Nov/early-Dec and staying on-site: try calling at 190 days out and see what happens? And then let us know ... (but it will just be us December folks litttle secret ... )

Deciding on dates and a resort. Check!
Airplane tickets. Check!
So now the planning for ADR's start. I have to have my choices to my TA early in June for our June 9th date. My DH and DD want to do most of the same stuff as last time but I am trying to get them to expand their horizins!

I swear once all this ADR planning is over I will just have to sit and wait out the start of our vacation. Sometimes I equate planning a disney trip to planning a wedding. You have all these initial decisions to make early on and then you wait for the magical day to begin!!

We are planning on going to MVMCP, Osborn Lights and the candlelight processional. I look forward to seeing the resorts decorated and even my 7year old is so excited to do the Christmas around the world at Epcot!

Husband and I are going to be at WDW Dec 11-18 2008. We are staying at the Saratoga Springs Resort.

DH and I are going to be there Dec 11-16 staying at POR Riverside. This will be our first trip with just the two of us.
Are you going to one of the MVMCPs? The dates for me will be 11,12 or 14. I think I am going to go with the 14. I hate to have an issue on arrival day (11) and not make the party and the 12th is a Friday night and there could be more people. The 14th is a Sunday so I am hoping for less people.

I'm waiting for June 1st for the official schedule to come out for EMH, but pretty much have our schedule figured out (using last year's schedule and the unofficial guide). June 4th is our 180 day mark, so I'll only have a few days to confirm and tell our TA.
