Anyone flown with Frontier?

Seat selection is an added price. Carry on and Checked are added price. Seats are not cushioned and unless you pay for the pricier seats they do not recline. But the planes are newer, clean, and actual service has been great IME. I normally travel for fewer days so I use the free under the seat personal item. A backpack or Vera Bradley weekender has fit fine. No free snacks or drinks aside from water.

I fly them about 5-6 times a year and they are my go-to airline as of the past 5 years. Worth the savings but even if they came out to be the same price I'd still fly them.

To put it shortly, you have to pay for everything, as Dis703 stated above. And if their cancellation policy is the same as Spirit, you might not be able to get another flight home for a couple of days if you (or they) cancel. Speaking from experience with Spirit.

Pretty much everyone who ever talks about it says it's the worst airline but it's cheap.

I have and it’s ok. The only problem we ever had was a number of years ago, flying with my daughter and her son who was a baby.

We took off just fine, but when we arrived at our connection, the gate attendant sort of yelled at us “I didn’t know you had an infant!!!! Now we have to redo seat assignments!” (Boarding had just begun). I said, “Lady, it’s not like we walked here. I’m sorry you were unaware and maybe the first flight didn’t have the data entered correctly, but this is definitely NOT something we just did to ruin your day. We booked with “infant in arms” clearly in our confirmation.”.

She didn’t apologize, but another gate attendant worked it out and we boarded. Once we boarded, a flight attended moved my daughter and grandson to the back of the plane, as the gate attendant assigned us to an exit row.

While the rest was fine, and I just waited for them in the next terminal, that left a bad taste in my mouth for sure. When I flew alone, since I’m carryon only and don’t care where I sit, when I board, etc, it had been fine. I’m a no-frills easy going flyer. They no longer service our small airport, and they are not missed at all.

I've flown Frontier 3 times. It was just fine for us but we went from BUF-MCO RT so it's only a little more than a 2 hour flight. For the right price I will fly with them anytime. Our last trip cost only $110 RT per person including luggage. We don't need to sit together so paying for seat assignment will never happen...so far we have had seats together but I did check in online right at the 24hr mark, not sure if that's why we were seated together or not.

The only negative for me is that I don't like the MCO gate area that they use. There isn't enough seating and the food options are minimal.
