Hello!
I've never been on this site before, but my Dad came across it and told me I should sign up, as there is a specific section for UK planners :)
We just booked our flights for Easter 2013, and we are flying with Delta Airlines.
Has anyone flown with them before and available to offer feedback? We have never flown with them before, so just want to prepare myself!
Thanks :)

Flown with Delta numerous times, twice in Business class and many more times in economy. This August we are returning with them (flying out Virgin) using our airmiles to get a free flight, I then paid another £38pp to upgrade to Economy Comfort(First time)
As far as I know most of their planes now have seatback TV's, odd plane might not have.
They are as good as any other airline, nothing outstanding but they get you there and back.

flown them zillions of times...
exactly as Wayne describes them...no worse than most airlines and sometimes better....

Flew with them to NY last month. They served Coors on the flight which I loved!

good old delta - sister and brother in law had to fly from arizona to detroit yesterday and true to delta's nasty reputation - their first class seats were suddenly and inexplicably changed without them being informed of it (they saw it when they looked online)...

given that sis and bro are super duper stratospheric frequent flyers at delta (diamond or whatever), it's insane that would happen...

so after a bit of screaming at the idiot ground agents, their original seats were reinstated....

god i hate delta.....but all the airlines are equally bad....it doesn't matter which one you fly on....they all suck.....

and if you have the great misfortune of living in detroit, you're stuck with delta....the only airline to fly in and out of there with any frequency (of course, having to be married to delta isn't the only reason it sucks to live in detroit, but it's not an insignificant one)...

Hi and welcome to the dis!!
we are flying 1st time in August with them from Man.
glad to hear Wayne that most planes now have seatback tvs, :thumbsup2

Flew with Delta to NYC in late 2010. Not a bad airline, but not the best either. As pp stated, they will get you there. From my experience with them and BA this year I would say they were on a par or at worst slightly lower than BA.

You will notice a difference between Delta and Virgin.

We flew with them in 2009 & are again this year. We loved it best flights we've had, flew Virgin 2010 but preferred Delta.

Depends which plane and staff you get with VA, had some nightmare flights with them but last year was OK.

Yes, I agree. Nothing really wrong with the Virgin flight, Tv & games system not as good but the main thing I didn't like was the staff (well just the one) she was really cold & standoffish, had quite a superiour attitude. Guess she was having a bad day, but not what you want on your way to start your hols.

I used to find with Virgin that they would be lovely on the way out but on return journey more or less ignored you this occurred on many occasions. When I went in 09 we had the chance to upgrade to PE I've never been so disappointed dreadful service since then we have flown with first choice into Sanford again PE but very goood in comparison. Now due to the hike in prices I'm going indirec expectations not high so can't be disappointed :goodvibes
