Hi All,

Been looking at the Miami website and know that our drill will be:

* Off Plane
* Collect Bags

... Then do we drop our bags then do immigration or immigration then re-drop bags?

I also presume we do not need to do security again as we are already airside?

It was a breeze last year at Atlanta but as this is a different airport I wanted to check.

Many thanks if anyone can help.

We went cancun, miami, london and we didnt get bags again, we just changed planes

I know returning that they transport your bags it was just on the way out I was unsure of

I always thought you did immigration before collecting bags, regardless :confused3

I am on same connection through Miami next week, and have same question.
Thought you collect bag, go through immigration, then re-drop bags?

Copied this from their website

Baggage Claim during Connections:

"International flights connecting to US destinations - claim luggage before clearing U.S. Customs.
International arriving passengers must claim their luggage before clearing U.S. Customs. Some airlines check bags directly from international city of origin to international final destinations (ITI). Please contact your airline for more information about ITI bags.

Domestic flights connecting to international destinations - confirm with your airline that your luggage was checked directly to your final destination."

Zippy, how long after you land is your connecting flight?

look at these reviews at immigration in post below, yikes!!
