Anyone flown to Nassau from Orlando International or Sanford?

Hi All,
I'm from Scotland in the UK

Have any of you ever flown to Nassau from either Orlando International or Sanford?

Do you know which airlines fly there and who is it best to book with?
We are going to Orlando in Sept and are staying there for 1 week then are going to the Atlantis harbourside resort for a further week. Any info would be much appreciated,

Haven't flown to Nassau (our favorite way is to arrive on the Disney Wonder), but Bahamasair, Delta, US Airways, and American Airlines operate nonstop flights bewteen Orlando (MCO) and Nassau (NAS). If you don't mind an intermediate stop, additional airlines make the flight.

I dont' think that sanford handles international flights.

US Air is supposed to have the most non-stops to the Bahamas, so I'd start there.

You did'nt say if you were going home via Orlando or from Nassau.
Anyway,try something like travelocity.com or sidestep.com or expedia.com and you will see all of the companies mentioned previous and the prices in September seem to range from about $160 up to $300 return.
Some are non stop some are 1 stop.Some are jet and some are prop.
travelocoity is good for showing quickest flight time.

Spirit Airlines (www.spiritair.com).

At their website, I just threw in dates of September 12 and return September 19. $49.00 each way. Non-stop.

Spirit is a small carrier but has been around for years and in the past few years has been making a big push into the Caribbean. Their home-base is in Florida. They are one of the few airlines that actually earns a profit every year, so you have little to fear about bankruptcy, etc.
