Anyone flow Wpg-Orlando on Westjet?

We are booked to fly with Westjet to Orlando, with a 60 min layover in Toronto. I am pretty sure we have to clear customs in Toronto. Has anyone had any experience with clearing customs in Toronto with such a short layover? Any comments would be appreciated.

Folk from Halifax have the same layover time and they make it through no problem

I was wondering the same thing for us in November, but I try to appease myself with they would not book it that way if it could not be done.

If you are changing planes in TO, and going through customs there, does anyone know if we have to claim our luggage to go through customs or does it just go straight to Orlando?

Yes we will have to claim our luggage before going through US customs. Then it is a few feet and you put it on a belt. Just like coming home same thing will happen.
