Anyone Fished at OKW?

I thought I had read a while back that some kind of fishing experience was available at OKW. Has anyone done this or know the details of it? Would it be suitable for a 7 yr old? Thanks for any information you can provide!

I fished there last year. You do not need a license, however it is a catch and release only. I do not remember if Hanks has equipment, as I always bring my own. I walked down the river by the lighthouse, started early in the morning, and finished by about 8 AM. They told me that there are Bass in the river along with other species of fish, but I never even had a nibble that morning.

There is also a fishing cruise just implemented by Hanks. The details as listed on page 12 of the last DVC newsletter are :

“Hanks Rent N Return offers a fishing cruise that travels over the waterways of Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. You’ll fish for an hour, and then enjoy lunch on the way back. All guests ages 5 and up are welcome. The cruise is $18 for members and $20 for non-members.”

That fishing cruise looks like something my Dh and 5 year old would enjoy. Has anyone tried it? Did you catch anything?
