We are scheduled to leave WDW June 26, I see there is currently a shuttle launch scheduled for June 28, always wanted to see a launch and my chances are about over.. what are the odds of this launch going of on June 28th?

Yes there is a launch on 28 June at 3:48pm. Lots of variables on whether it goes or not. The one thing you can count on it will be crowded, there were hundreds of thousand people here for the most recent launch.

It's hard to say this far in advance. I don't think they've even started processing the shuttle for the June launch yet, and that's where a lot of problems can happen.

We were going to go when we were down there in Oct/Nov 2010 but it is not set in stone and never happened. Remember to keep your weekly plans flexible, just because it is suppose to launch on a certain day does not mean it does. We never got to see it as it was not ideal launch conditions.
Also if you plan on being onsite to watch it you may want to check the website, the tickets for the Oct launch were awarded by a lotto system. You had to sign up to win a chance to buy the tickets to be on the launch site and depending how close you wanted to be determined how much they were. There are some parks near the launch site that you can got to and watch from there.

I can only relate our experience from last year. The idea of a trip to Florida orignated with DH's long time wish to see a shuttle or rocket launch. We were orignally going to go during spring break, but the launch was postponed. We then re-scheduled for late July and booked the trip. Again, it was postponed, but was supposed to be a few days before the end of our trip. Again, it was postponed, and I don't think it actually launched until mid-August.

Basically, you're going to have to be flexible, and hopefully not terribly disappointed if it doesn't happen.

I am currently making tentative plans to see the June launch as well. I did some research last week and read that although they are already prepping the shuttle, one of the pieces of equipment going on the mission may not be ready by June.

History would indicate this far out, there is a good chance of a significant delay but I wouldn't count on any announcement for a couple months (keep in mind, the current mission is still going and there is another launch scheduled for next month)

If you have made your vacation plans already for that week, I wouldn't count on seeing it but keep your fingers crossed. If you are thinking of a vacation with a priority for the launch, be patient and flexible!
