We're going to spend 3 nights at the parks and 4 nights on DCL in August. I want to buy the passporter books for both the World portion and the Cruise line portion. I love the idea of the deluxe with the binder but do I have to buy both? Can I buy one deluxe starter kit and then a refill of the other one? Will both books fit in one binder? Any suggestions?

I have been using Passporter for about 6 years and absolutely love it:thumbsup2 In your situation I would get the deluxe for WDW (you can change out the contents every year) and the regular for the Cruise.

I am assuming that you would be going to WDW more often than cruising. But on the website you can always print out updates to fit in either version.

I just buy the contents for my Deluxe and change them out every year (the memories to keep are wonderful!)

Enjoy!:thumbsup2

I did not buy the deluxe cruise, just the regular. It's a nice size. I have the deluxe WDW. They are the most awesome guide books!!! Plus you can download updates as PP said.

Exactly the way I would go. I LOVE my WDW passporter!!:cutie:

I love love LOVE the Passporter- by far the best guidebook of them all (IMO of course)! If I were you, I would buy the non-deluxe version, then subscribe to the site's newsletter. Usually they offer some crazy deals if you pre-order (I got my deluxe version for $20ish I think... two years ago, then the refill last year for $10ish). By then your trip will already be over, but you will have the deluxe case for your next great adventure!

The one complaint I have about the regular version is that the strap on my first passporter broke and had to be stapled. Not a biggie- it was fixable.

In the end, do not hesitate- get a Passporter, and get it QUICK! :thumbsup2

We LOVE the Passporter. We buy an new one for WDW every year, and two years ago we bought the deluxe edition and have been just getting the inserts (without the envelopes). When you register you Passporter, you'll get a code to purchase any future Passporters at a discount.

no you can't fit both into one deluxe binder, unless you remove a bunch of pages. You could do this. The DCL one will come with every port of call DCL goes to. If you are doing the Wonder, you can cut that book down by about 1/3 (save those pages in an envelope). Then you could pick and choose from WDW what you want to take and make up your own deluxe passporters to take with you.
Good luck and don't hesitate to buy them- they are WELL WORTH THE MONEY!

I personally love my deluxe passporter binder. I use it as my main planning tool/workbook (along with the Sidekick PDFs) throughout the year when planning my trip.

However, when my trip rolls around, I honestly find the binder to be too bulky to carry around the parks. Most of the pages within it becomes obsolete very quickly once you have everything planned out on the day the trip begins. What I do is transfer the necessary information (planned itinerary, confirmation #s, ADRs) into the much smaller compact Birnbaum's Official Disney World Pocket Guide (which also has a nice pocket holder for fast passes) which I take along with me on the trip.

Regardless, the Passporter along with next year's refill becomes my primary tool when I return from WDW to plan the next outing there.
