Anyone familiar with Jim McCoy?

I recently found out that my previous guide had retired and after being guide-less for a while, I was "adopted" by Jim McCoy.

Is anyone familiar with him? With all of the talk about some guides being great and some being less-than-great, being assigned a guide at random seems a bit iffy.

He is awesome! He operates mostly over the phone but is willing to meet with his members if you come to town. He gets great reviews on here and I can tell you he is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine.

Although this is a positive thread, I don't think you're allowed to name guides by name on the DIS (I could be wrong but I thought that was the policy).

We don't allow negative discussion regarding Guides by name - they can't post here to defend themselves.

Also, we don't allow "referring" Guides as that results in monetary gain for the referring member.
