Anyone experience Problems with Priceline?

I have used Priceline numerous times in the past. I would just plug in CA (California) in the state, and make up a zip code in the billing section of the form. It has always worked. Unfortunatley, we chaged credit cards and therefore I had to register the new # and the bid came back saying that my credit card company wouldn't authorize the transaction. I am sure it has something to do with the billing address. Has anyone experienced this problem? Any suggestions?

I believe the Priceline now rejects Visas and Mastercards issued by non-US banks. :-(

However, I think that people have been able to use Canadian AmEx's with no problem.

Yup, they don't accept Visa anymore. I have an Amex (Airmiles) card that works well on Priceline. Just used it last week to book 3 nights at the Renaissance World Gate and had no problem!

It's too bad that they have made the change. I was hoping to rent a car for my trip to Orlando in a few weeks through Priceline, but if I book with my Airmiles AmEx I won't get the free insurance that I would have got through my Aerogold Visa.

By the way, for a good chat board on Priceline bidding strategies, check out http://www.biddingfortravel.com .

I just ordered my Amex (Air Miles). Thanks for the advice

Any success with Priceline. Already have a great rate, but will try closer to departure. Anyone had any luck?

Sure glad I found out my visa would be rejected prior to trying to book another trip. I too have just applied for AMX now. Hope they don't stop accepting that too - I'd never be able to afford a trip to Orlando! Thanks for the info.

We used our mastercard for our trip. Our Visa was not accepted(it was last year), and I also used my Amex card for my friends trip.
