Anyone exhange into RCI yet?

I tried yesterday and this am and they are still importing new members and couldn't make a reservation. Anyone been successful?

I tried today, but they said since my contract hadn't closed yet, they didn't import my membership yet. She said she submitted my paperwork and to try again tomorrow. So, I'll try again tomorrow.

The DVC resorts are not in the RCI catalog online yet, so it is not ready to accept deposits. I was told Jan 2 but that did not happen.

Someone has. Folks have reported seeing DVC inventory. So far, only Points, but the resorts aren't even listed in the Weeks directory yet.

Well, got through today and the place I wanted that was available on Jan 2 is, of course, not available today.

We tried this morning for a couple different places in Alberta & BC for february but nothing was available for our dates Too bad it took so long to get our developer points cause there was availability with II thru the short stays at some of the areas we were interested in.

You can't use your developer points with RCI can you? UGHH looks like our points may just go to waste.

Tried to this morning but nothing avaialable for my date range in New England. They did say that they have a waitlist for weekly stays or you can keep trying for nightly stays. They said because DVC just got into RCI, owners in RCI may not have had a chance yet to do an exchange so there is still a chance for something to open up.

As far as DP's go, they knew full well that I was going to exhange my DP's and did not mention a potential problem with that.

Like DVC, the best options will go at MN exactly at 10 months out. This will put DVC members at a distinct disadvantage much like trying to get dining reservations at the Castle through MS when the Disney Dining Line opens earlier.

You can use your developer points with RCI... my contract stated Interval, but I asked 2 different people and they confirmed that I could use RCI.

I booked a stay in Cabo San Lucas today in May, there was a lot of availability there.

No, no more II trades unless you were searching already or had a deposit on file. Even then there are cutoff's.

I'm not ready to do this .... .but it is a thought that I think that would work for people.

I have Weeks in II that I used to trade into DVC that I can no longer do. Some of you out there have DVC that you would like to trade into II resorts.

I'm thinking a trade could happen here?

You can't accept anything in payment including points so I think this would be risky. It might be workable for a friend, but not something like this.

All well....guess I'll go back to looking at the DVC Resales!!!!
