I am looking for experiences with the above. I have a notebook computer and was thinking of bringing it as carryon and accessing the internet during our flight. The cost seems to be about $10 which I am fine with but I would like to know if anyone has used the service, is it fairly easy to get started, is it highspeed, any other things to consider? Thanks! :thumbsup2

I used in March but they were doing a free trial of it while I was flying so I used it of course! It was super easy to set up and use! You pretty much just load your computer and click on your browser and it connects you to GOGO and directs you from there. There were some things that were blocked but I mainly just used some facebook to chat (other facebook features were blocked), disboards, and to check email! It wasn't the fastest but it was also free and I wasn't going to complain!

I haven't tried it again with paying but I would assume it would be a similar connection, maybe even faster?

Everything the prevous poster said was also what I experienced as well! It was in March to! My kids loved watching our flight progress as we were flying though! If you do a search for flight tracker online, you can find your flight, exactly where you are, the altitude, speed and landing time! It was fun! It also passed the time!
Good luck!

I forgot to mention that but I used that too!! I would go screen to screen between that and my convos on facebook! lol

It did pass the time! My one Delta flight had that on the TVs and it was awesome to watch the flight progress!

I paid for the service to use it last October on my flight to MCO. It wasn't very fast, but was workable. I used it for email and to do Christmas shopping online.

Thanks for the replies! DS and I both like to play Club Penguin (still trying to earn our Fire Ninja suit ). I wonder if the online service would have the bandwidth to handle that? I think I will give it a shot, as there is so much to do online regardless I think it will be worthwhile. Of course, if they happen to decide to offer a free trial again, I would be most grateful! ;)

I used it at the end of July on a flight from Philly to Orlando on my iPad. It was easy to set up and I didn't have any issues with speed. I set up my account a couple weeks prior to the flight and then when we got the ok to use electronics I signed in and made the inflight purchase. It was about $10.

Are there any current discount codes?

I've never used it on AirTran but have used it on Delta and US. Most recently I used it on US to stream movies from Netflix to an iPad. It worked quite well and the video stream only froze up once or twice on a 5 hour flight.
