Anyone ever use Timeshare Closing Services, Inc to close on their DVC resale?

I was just wondering if any of you had used this company to close on your resale purchase. Did you have any problems when using them? What kind of experience did you have?

We had a very good experience, in fact it was painless. They have it down to a science and if you have the time will save dollars on a resale, no doubt about it. The only real holdup can be waiting for the seller to sign all the paper work and send it back. We closed six months ago on a 220 OKW contract. Including closing cost we paid 74 and change per point.

We used Jason and he was very good. Kept us updated and always got back to us right away.

I was wondering about the closing process in particular. I think you may be thinking of The Timeshare Store. Unless there is a Jason at Timeshare Closing Services, Inc. Has anyone ever used Timeshare Closing Services, Inc. for the closing portion of thier sale?

Yes, you're right and I'm sorry. We did use the timeshare store and my comments reflect that experience.

Actually, the Timeshare Store uses TCS for their closings. I have used TCS indepedently, and have only good things to say about them. VERY easy.

We used them to close our purchase and had no problem at all.

Are you having an issue with them? We are in the process of deciding where to go and would like to know if that's the case. ::MinnieMo

No issues with them at all. I am getting ready to use them and was just curious about them. Knowing that TTS uses them is a great comfort.

Beca, by the way, thanks for all of your help. I found a BCV contract and hopefully, I am well on my way to being the #2 biggest BCV cheerleader. That is if you will let me join the squad. :cheer2:

We used TSS and then TCS recently and it was very simple and painless.

I used them for a closing on a private sale. We were trying to speed up the closing, so we wanted to do everything while we were in Florida. They always seemed to be rushing when we went there to sign papers. I got the distinct impression that they would have preferred to have us fax the papers instead of deliver the papers in person, they seemed ill-at-ease when we were there. They all acted like they weren't used to meeting the public! ;)

I used the TCS several times and met them in person, while I was in Orlando two years ago. They handled my tranactions very efficiently and I would recommend their service.

Good luck!

We have used them twice with a third in progress. No problems, all email and fax. They have been prompt in responding to questions.

Your impression of TCS not being used to meeting the public is probably correct.

They are not salespeople, they are processors. Unlike the title companies for houses, where 98% of the closings are done with both parties sit across the table from each other, very few timeshare closings are done in their office so they are phone, fax & E-mail oriented.

My main concern is that they get the job DONE!

Terrible problems with them. Fortunately we were the sellers, but through all the problems, it took forever. I wrote a letter telling them I'd never use them again. Hopefully, all our problems were rare ones, but why did everything happen to us?

We used them with no problems on a Timeshare Store resale closing a couple of years ago.

We just sold a small OKW contract. It was very easy. They received our signed closing documents on Friday, July 15th and we had the check in our hands on Wednesday, July 20th.

Can't ask for much more than that!

What kind of problems did you have? I suspect there are always things that can go wrong on any transaction involving banks and money.

I'm sure problems can happen-but they all happened to us (well, the buyers were probably affected more because of all the delays). First, TSC sent the "contract" to Disney for ROFR, and Disney then called us to tell us that there were certain things we didn't fill out (which we hadn't noticed, but didn't TSC?) and "this isn't a contract, it's just a piece of paper. Why did you send this to us like this?" Then when I called TSC to check on our mistake, they never returned my calls. Next, when we got the closing documents to sign and notarize, I called TSC to check that I had all the documents and which ones to get notarized. I told her, "I'll get it done this morning and send it right out", which is what I did. Two weeks later, someone else called, "How are you doing with those documents? Almost ready to send them back?" Apparently, it took 2 weeks to let me know they never received them-I know, I should have sent them registered mail, which is what I did the second time. OK, we got the check, everything (we thought) was fine, until 2 more weeks when we get a Fedex from them telling us that Orange County wouldn't accept the documents because they hadn't been witnessed properly (this was 2 weeks after TCS had sent us the money!) Boy, if I'd been the buyers I'd be totally livid-send the sellers their money before the deed is recorded?! I know we made alot of mistakes ("rookie mistakes"), but it took sooo long.
