Anyone ever use Scrapblog for photo scrapbooks?

I just recently found a site called scrapblog.com to make photo scrapbooks. They even have a free Disney theme as part of a D23 contest (which I don't plan on entering, I just like the theme.) I think it will be great as an online scrapbook, but I am curious about the quality of their printed photobooks. Has anyone ever purchased a hardcover book from them, and if so, how was the quality? The price seems right and I love the layout, so if anyone could let me know about his/her experience with the company, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I haven't used them before, but wanted to thank you for introducing me to the website - this is the type of photobook publishing website I've been looking for! Love the Disney items, plus love that you're in control of your layouts instead of having pre-set layouts that never fit what I want!

THANK YOU!:thumbsup2

You are very much welcome! It's exactly what I was looking for too, and I read a review on a photography website that said it's of equal or better quality compared to other photobook websites, though obviously not the same as buying a professional photobook like you'd get at a bookstore. I just wanted to check with the people whose I opinions I trust on this site too!

You got my attention! On my way over there now. I, too, would like to hear the experience of anyone who's bought the product.

Last year after our trip, I made one of the softcover small books for my friend who took us to WDW. We LOVED making it and it was beautiful. I think the quality was nice, I would have loved to get the hardcover, but at the time I could only get the soft one. It came out just as the scapblog pages looked, I would have liked borders on the pages, but that may have been b/c I purchased the smaller softcover book. It was a really nice gift, we had 18 pages or something like that, all from our trip! :goodvibes

I moved this thread to the Scrpboking page. Thanks Rich

When I first discovered the concept of digital scrapbooking, it was because of this site I came across that was just starting up. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this site for new digital scrappers! The picture and book quality is amazing and the ability to use their extra easy software for their creations is great.
I've made three of the 12 x 8 books in the past and I simply love them. The pictures are so vivid in person.

The only downfall of the site is the inability to use kits purchased outside of scrapblog services quickly (which is a new feature) and the book sizes which come in odd specs like the 12 x 8, 9 x 6, and 6 x 4. In order to use kits outside of scrapblog you have to upload each element, background, to something like photobucket, flickr, then upload them to scrapblog and when I tried a while ago the software was so slow and a pain to do this. I'm not even sure how templates in the software works. But scrapblog offers a great variety of elements, background papers, frames, fonts to use for free and for purchase with them as well so your options are not all that limited.

For beginners I again recommend, however people with a preference to easy acess to the many kits avaliable online for free or purchase and different book sizes may find what I do now (using photoshop and printing with shutterfly) more useful!:thumbsup2

Thanks for the great reviews from people who have used it, and I'm glad some other people want to check it out too! :cool1: Sorry I posted this on the wrong board to begin with--I wasn't aware there was a scrapbooking board.

I used Scrapblog to make and print one of the smaller, softside books to see the quality before I committed to a larger book. I was very pleased. It came out just as I had made the book and looked great.

I'll be ordering one of the larger, hardcover books in December as a gift for my in-laws.
