Has anyone ever used their points to stay at Grove Park Inn in Ashville N.C. If so how did you like it. Thanks.

We stayed there using points 1 or 2 nights. Over a weekend. We live in NC but have never stayed there and have always wanted to. It was beautiful and we would love to go again. If you like the mountains I think you would really like it. We didn't eat there. If you go and have children, there is a gentleman who greets you when you drive up who is pictured in a children's book about a bear at the Grove Park Inn and he will autograph it for you. You can purchase the book in the lobby. It is realy a cute book if you have young children. We enjoyed our stay and the Inn and the grounds are gorgeous. I think you would enjoy it. Also you could tour the Biltmore House in Asheville too.

We have used DVC points for the Grove Park Inn. We had a wonderful room with a great view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The resort is quite elegant and reminiscent of the large resorts of the past with the huge lobby area (a la WL) with fireplace and comfy chairs. Many guests will congrgate there during the day. You can also spend time out on the expansive porch to enjoy the view.

We did dine in the resort restaurant and truly enjoyed the experience. Be sure to check out the Spa - very impressive!

Enjoy! :)

Hi CMOORE185,
I have not used my points to stay at Grove Park Inn though I have stayed there before. As others have mentioned the resort is beautiful. The grounds the resort are on are very impressive and the views equally beautiful.

I found the resort to be extremely high quality and the staff was very attentive. Ashville is a great city and my understanding is there is more to do there then the last time I was there. You will defiantly want to visit the Biltmore House.

If you do decide to stay there I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Wow, I didn't know you could use points there!
My DH & I went there 14 years ago on our Engagement trip.
They had a fabulous brunch on the back porch.
The history of how it was built is fascinating.
