Anyone ever use "other" entertainment rate hotels?

I just recieved my entertainment book. I purchased San Diego area, my son lives there.
Anyway.....I noticed a few other hotels listed and wondered if anyone here has any experience using the entertainment rate.
The listed hotels are
HoJo ( of course )
But I am wondering about these....
Best western Anaheim inn
Courtyard Anaheim
Dersert inn and suites
Portofino inn and suites
Holiday inn on walnut
Clarion on convention way
Most of these state up to 50% off rack rates
Some say year round others say August-June
Holidays events excluded.

You need to call the hotels individually and ask for in house reservations, and ask them what their discount rates are for the Entertainment book. Although Entertainment says "up to 50% off", in the experience of those who have tried, HoJo is the only one that actually does the 50%. The rest are 10-20% off.
