Has anyone ever done the breakfast at Trail's End ? Lunch/Dinner either ?
:confused3
We have never gone, as many times as we have been to Disney. Just wondering what you thought about it... what kinds of foods are there.

Thanks,
Antoinette

We ate here in Sept. '03. Here is what I posted on the DIS boards when we returned:

Fort Wilderness:
Trail’s End Buffeteria - Ate here our first night because we were meeting up with friends who raved about the Buffet saying it was one of the best-kept secrets of WDW dining. I have to say that they were right! The price is way less than the other buffets around Disney and the quality of the food was wonderful. There were 10 of us and every one of us “waddled” out after dinner. The buffet included: chili, potato/bacon soup, biscuits, corn bread, cinnamon & sugar butter, apple butter, fresh cut fruit, salad fixings, bbq ribs, fried chicken, some pork and vegetable casserole, summer squash and zucchini medley, sauteed green beans with onions and bacon, and steamship carved roast beef. For dessert they had apple cobbler, marble bread pudding, and cinnamon crisps which were triangle pieces of dough fried until crispy and sprinkled with cinnamon powdered sugar. It was an awesome meal and was a bargain (by WDW standards) at $60 for 3 adults and 2 children. After dinner, the kids walked through the animal petting area and then the horse stables. It’s a nice place to just walk around…so “woodsy” and relaxing.

HTH's!

Me and the kids enjoyed Trails End Buffet but my husband didn't. It was full of comfort food which he isn't too big on.
The other thing I enjoyed was that this was our first time inside Fort Wilderness. It was the week after Thanksgiving and there were so many campers who had Christmas decorations that rivalled the best decorations in my neighborhood. That and the meal made it worth the trip inside.

We like Trail End. We have eaten breakfast and dinner and enjoyed both. And it IS the best dining bargain in WDW. It is comfort food but most people will find something they can eat there. Enjoy!

We ate there for dinner when we rented a cabin at FW and the dinner buffet was good. There is something there for everyone . It wasn't exceptional. I would say if you are already staying there it is a good choice but I wouldn't go out of my way.

We have PSs there for 22 DISers Aug 19th. A family is staying at FW, we'll be at VWL so easy to get there.

We ate at Trails End on a whim our last rip. We actually enjoyed it. We liked that it did offer comfort food. We were very content with the basic offerings. Dinner was relaxing and the surroundings were so peaceful. The buffet is a bit less expensive than the others. I am undecided as to whether to go back to Trails End or Cape May for our Buffet. in July. Now we like both of them.

We love the Trails End Buffet! We usually eat breakfast there every trip. It's a great value, the food is good, hot and plentiful and the atmosphere at FW can't be beat! The kids love the petting zoo, pony rides and the playground that is right outside the restaurant. We eat a big breakfast, then head to the MK by boat for the day. We're able to skip lunch and eat a good dinner.

I highly recommend it!!
