Anyone ever teach GED classes?

I already posted this on the community board last night but only one person answered and its already dropped to the third page so it's pretty much dead.

I'm thinking of doing this at my local community college. It's something that has also always piqued my interest. I'm just curious as to what some of your experiences may have been if you've done this. TIA!

I interviewed for a job teaching GED. They were very particular in who they chose. Good luck to you.

I was offered a chance to do this, but not at a CC. The high school where I taught offered evening classes in their adult learning academy.

This would have been in addition to my daily teaching assignment and there was just no way.

However, the person who offered me the position knew me well and I didn't apply so I don't know about application processes.

It has crossed my mind to teach part time at the CC lately. I would just need it to work with DH's schedule is my problem.

I did this when I worked for a private Learning Center. We prepped people for the GED, as well at the GRE, SAT, ACT, etc. It was a one on one program for the GED. It was highly rewarding actually.
