I was just wondering, my DH, and DS's & I are planning one to celebrate our 10 year Anniversary in September...my Bro & SIL just got back from a celebrity cruise but they seem to be more $$$ then Carnival...I wonder why ???
The price of a cruise depends on factors such as which season you travel in, the cabin class and the cruise line itself. Celebrity tends to be a bit more expensive.
I've sailed from NY to Bermuda on a Royal Caribbean ship. I've also sailed on several Carnival ships to other destinations. So, the trip to/from Bermuda is usually done overnight. It's great to have the ship to use as your "hotel" while in port on Bermuda. The island itself it nice; some pretty beaches, nice golf, good shopping.
All ships offer shore tours as well as activities on board the ship. While in port the ship casino will be closed however. Bermuda is easy to get around on your own also. I took a public bus on afternoon and felt safe.
Carnival ships aren't as "posh" as some lines. They tend to be more on the "glitzy" side. The food has been getting better over the years and there is plenty of it.
