Our surprise was a success! DS couldn't believe us when we picked him up from school to go on vacation. He kept telling us that we were tricking him. I told him to go to the window and look outside. When he saw the limo, he said, "is that for me?" When we told him, "yes," he asked if his sister could come with us.
The whole way to NY, he was telling us that he wanted to see the "lady with the stick," the Empire State Building and where the twin towers were. When we drove past JFK, he thought we'd stop there, but we kept going. Then, he was convinced that we would be going to a beach in NY. (Yep, in March!) When we got to Laguardia, he heard that we were going to Orlando. He was convinced we were going on a cruise. WDW and Universal never even made it to his radar.
By the time we got to the resort, he was tired and wanted to go to bed. The next morning, he couldn't believe we were going to Universal!
He got lots of surprises, some from the hotel, some from restaurants, some from us. He kept telling us that the trip was so "over the top."
The entire trip was magical... but, I must say, Universal is out of my system. Been there, done that... I like WDW better!
