Anyone ever stay in a Master's Inn before?

Looking at Columbia, SC specifically. All thoughts are welcome. TIA

We stayed at one in Jacksonville, FL for one night. They are smaller and more basic, but if you just want a bed and bathroom, that's about all you'll get. We had to ask for towels and ended up going down to the desk after them. It should cost you less money.

It is a little less than the Days Inn I have booked but it doesn't sound very good if you had to go down and get towels. Was it clean? Any other comparisons, not to Disney of course, but other cheap 1 night stops. Thanks again!

It was as clean as any of the cheaper hotels. The towel thing might have been a fluke thing and might have been only at the one in Jacksonville. I would definitely stay at a Masters Inn again if all you want is an inexpensive place to sleep for the night.

I'm not sure but I think Masters Inn has replaced some existing hotel chains, so I don't know how consistent they will be. The one in Jacksonville had been something else (a MicroTel) before that, if that gives you any indication. It's hard to compare because I've stayed in some hotels that were more expensive and name-brand that were not as good. It kind of reminded me of a Sleep Inn on a smaller scale.

Do not stay they - Pay the extra $20 bucks and stay at a Marriot Courtyard or other low end brand name. I just stayed in JAX for one night last week. Lets see ....

1. Fire alarm went off scaring the kids to death
2. Cigerette burns in the bathroom
3. Burn holes on the comforter and blanket
4. Mold in bathroom and room
5. Screwed up van to airport - almost missed my flight
6. Room felt like it should have been rented by the hour if you know what I mean.
6. Very Rude people.

I guess that is it .... Pay the extra money for a brand name hotel. If it was not for being so late when we got there and tired kids I would have left - but it was only for a few hours.
