Anyone ever stay at Holiday Villas?

Just wondering if anyone has had experience with Holiday Villas? They come up under the Orlando Hotels here on the DISBoards.

I had reservations there a couple of years ago and then Vistana Villiages opened and I switched to go there but I have tried many times since then to find HV just so I could see what they were like in case I had to stay there in the future. I have not been successful. I have a feeling that they are an older resort. When I called a few years ago I asked if they were gated and they told me that they had security there during the day but not at night. I do not know if that is still the case but that was enough for me to try and find another resort.

I stayed there a couple of years ago for 4 days, and do not recommend it. The section we stayed in was pretty old and in need of refurbishment. They may have a newer section now, I'm not sure. Our villa was spacious enough, it just seemed like it needed a real good cleaning. In fact, one night I grabbed an extra blanket from the closet, and it rubbed against my eye and scratched it. (It was made of coarse material.) The next couple of days my eye began itching. Then it turned pink. You guessed it: Pinkeye. I had to go to the MedQuick for antibiotics and eye rinse. Not too fun during vacation. IMHO, there are too many newer condos that are a lot closer to Disney to justify staying at Holiday Villas.

No sorry never used them but there is a lovley villa on dis auctions, good rate too.
