I am an annual passholder but have booked the free dining at SSR this August. Had to buy tickets to get the dining and still worked out cheaper than paying for the dining. I was hoping that I would just be able to extend the 14 day tickets until next year but not having much luck with Disney. 2 emails sent to customer services (no response) Called the UK customer services line and I am not kidding was on the phone for nearly an hour and the final response was that they didn't think you could extend them. Offered to pay extra but not sure they really knew what I was talking about. Explained about being annual passholder already but didn't help. Don't even have the tickets yet because balance not yet due but am assuming they will have expiry date of 31st December. Not complaining really as the same deal today for SSR in August is £4824. I paid £2200! So my question is, has anyone ever sold their tickets because they couldn't use them? I would of course much rather keep them for next year, especially as I paid £168 and I think they are over £200 now due to exchange rate. Have never sold anything on ebay and not even sure if you are allowed to sell Disney tickets.
Also, has anyone ever managed to get a UK ticket extended once in the US. I have put a 1 day ticket towards my annual pass before but not sure if you can do this with the UK tickets.
Thanks

When i booked this deal a few months ago,i enquired about "Using the park tickets" at another time and i was told NO they are for the DURATION of this holiday and because they are actually on a "Disney Card" your room key i assume, they will expire at the end of that vacation, even if they havnt been used!!!
Hope this helps?

I have seen Disney tickets on ebay but as a buyer I would steer well clear of them as you only have the seller's word that they're going to get you through the gate on arrival.

Last time we were in Florida we stayed on I Drive. Toward the end of our holiday we were asked if we wanted to sell our unused tickets to one of the shops on I drive. I think it was a golf shop. We did not manage to get back to do this but was wondering if anyone had done this.

I am not sure there is a way round this as you have had to pay rack rate for the room to get the free dining the 'tickets' are likely to be only valid for your length of stay.

The very 1st time we went i sold some unused days on our tickets on ebay, it can be done :guilty: :guilty:

a few years ago we used tosell our unused days to the guys that had covessions in Mcdonalds, we usually did it on the last day of our trip so the cash paid for a nice meal, not sure if u could do this now, certainly buying them would be risky with the fingerprinting system.

We are in the same situation as youself. We booked for the free dining using our Tesco voucher for a free trip to AK lodge but had to buy the tickets. I had to purchase a 14 day ultimate ticket for the free dining so it should be a seperate ticket. Not sure when we will get them to look at possible selling them, but if they arrive a few weeks before I go I was looking at making someones day at the park by giving them away as I have my annual pass and someone may as well get some use of them and save them some cash also.

i would have thought they will be vouchers you exchange at check in and will be on your KTTW card

We have booked the same deal

Thats what I was told. Can't be taken as a seperate ticket only added to KTTW card.
Our AP's expire on the 5th August, we don't arrive until the 6th so we just won't renew AP's this year and use the 21 day tickets I ordered with the package.

You are correct to highlight this point, however, I'm not sure the fingerprint technology is that reliable. When we were last there just over a year ago DH's ticket failed at the MK nearly every time we went there, I think his ticket was replaced more than four times and mine twice over the course of 14 days.

I'm sure that there is no actual voucher sent out to you, it's just part of your reservation?? when you check in you room key is also your tickets to the park, making it impossible to use at a different time or sell.

as there put on your KTTW dout it can hapen while your there, only hthing you can do is do it at end off holiday, why not just give them to some one (what we do with left over beers/water and sodas)
But as tickets not tranferable, realy its a no no as against the rules

I have sold my tickets in the past. We got back from a trip to disney Xmas2007 and where contacted by disney about a complaint we had about something that hapened to us while we were staying at POR. I had left a letter to be passed on to managment but had never thought theyd get back in touch after we left as they had already refuned part of our stay and given us fast passes to make up for the bad experience. When they contacted us they sent me 4 x 3 day pases valid for 30 years. At that time I had no intention of returning to florida so I sold them. Regretting it now as we had to cancle our family hols boked through virgin to the caribeen due to a family wedding. So as not to loose any money we had to move the holiday to another one, my daughter is in final year at school/going to uni so only time off is next Xmas and that time can not afford caribeen so now going back to orlando . I COULD SCREAM

just an idea
what about asking can they be used as part payment towards a new AP voucher when you are out there
I always find guest services at the parks / downtown better at dealing with ticket question then the resorts

im curious as to why you had to buy tickets for that many days i thought you only had to buy a one night ticket to see be eligble for the dining plan not length of stay?

before when we wanted dining plan but had tickets i just bought 1 day ones and was still able to buy the ddp??? could you just amend the tickets ?

There has been many posts saying UK tickets are not upgradable to AP's, unless this rule has chamged it won't be possible.

Not for the UK free DDP you can't just buy a 1 day ticket, you can for the US free offer when it becomes available but for us it was cheaper to take teh 21 day tickets than wait for US free dining, we paid £2,164 on Disney.com it was over £6,000 so even if we got free dining on .com the cost would be over double .co.uk

Thanks for all your reply. Even more confused now though as when I spoke to Disney Customer Service they definitely said that the tickets were valid till
31st December and did not say they were the ones on the key. They said my tickets would be sent to me when the balance had been paid in full. If I had known that the tickets were only valid for this holiday, I would not have activated my annual pass on my trip that has just gone and would have saved for another time. Does seem crazy that you cannot extend these tickets as you can if you get the US free dining. I think I will write to Customer Services once I have paid in full. As I said before, still a great deal but I just hate to wast over £500.

Just out of intrest if i have 2009 14 day tickets that are activated in dec but the 14 days takes it into jan will they still be valid???
