I have a pair of NFL tickets that we aren't going to use and was going to put them on Stub Hub. Anyone have any advice on using this service?

I'd probably try Craigslist first. The fees on Stub Hub are pretty high. I would rather take a cash payment from someone, even below face, than give up 15% in fees.

It all depends if there is a demand for the tickets.

We are Jets season ticket holders... DH has sold tix we couldn't use. Look on the site - look up the game/section you want to sell and see how much they are going for, then price yours accordingly. Good luck!

That would be ideal...except we are in Florida and these are for a Patriots game.

I am still hoping one of my Facebook friends wants them, but thought Stubhub was a good option. I would rather get some money than eat the cost all together.

You might be surprised. I just sold a set of Detroit Hockey tickets to a guy in Chicago. I listed them on Craigslist in Detroit & Chicago, and advised I was in Chicago. I got a guy who was in town for business, and I met him in his hotel lobby near the airport.

I tried ticket brokers, had them on Stub Hub, but this ended up being the best deal; and certainly the easiest. I would rather drive to a local hotel, than "hope" someone doesn't try to scam me via paypal and fedex.

Awesome! I might have to give that a try!

I do not know how it works, but a few times I have purchased Giants football tickets, on NFL.com/tickets All teams are on there.

I do not trust Craig's List for anything. It is a LOT of $$ for a pair of tickets, so I feel safer using the official site. I am not sure how they have tickets, I would guess season ticket holders have them sell them for them somehow? They are available all over the stadium, and the Giants are sold out.

In any case, you could look on there to see what your seats would sell for on there, and ask a little less I guess?

I dunno about Craig's List...

But at least with Stub Hub both parties are protected, like ebay.

I've sold Phillies Tickets on stub hub. It is very easy to do, and I have always made a profit, in spite of the service fees. Basically you enter in the number below the bar code on the ticket to authenticate it. The buyer can then print the ticket at home. The stub hub site will walk you through the process. You can either get money via paypal or check. As the PP said, there is protection for both buyer and seller and it is anonymous. I am very leery of craigslist. One: since you are in Fla. finding someone in the area to buy the tickets... because you should never accept anything but cash... may be difficult. Two: you never know what kind of nutter you may have to meet.

I sold concert tickets on StubHub. Since it was just something I unexpectedly couldn't go to, I didn't care about making a profit, I really just wanted to get my money back. I picked StubHub because it seemed easier, less complicated, and safer than Craigslist. I figured out what to price them at where I could get 100% of my money back after StubHub fees and my tickets sold within a week. Suuuper easy.
