Does anyone know if this is possible? I would love the reward points and I obviously would pay it off and not pay interest!

We used our Citibank credit card to purchase and paid it all the next month, so don't see why you couldn't use your Disney VISA if you have the credit limit.

My Disney Visa is my card of choice! I pay it off at the end of each month and reap the Disney dollar rewards! :thumbsup2

We did. Our limit isn't that high- so when we 1st agreed to buy I think we only needed to put down $200- but we told our guide to put down $6000. That way we had time to pay off the original 6K and free up our credit limit for the second half of the purchase, which we made about 2-3 weeks later after we signed all the papers.

We used our Disney VISA, gathered our rewards and "paid" it off by transferring to a no interest for 12 mo. and no charge for transfers card.

Be sure to call them ahead of time and make them aware of the pending purchase so they do not suspect foul play.

HTH

I paid with my Disney Rewards Visa, then just paid it off at the end of the month. So, in addition to the $500 Disney Gift Card, I have $211 of Disney Reward Dollars - almost enough to purchase our PAPs! I say "go for it" as long as you can pay it when the bill comes! Ya can't make Disney money any faster!

Deb :yay:

Just curious, would I be able to use Disney Visa on a resale?

Probably not- but you could always ask. Most of them don't take them or only accept ccs for a downpayment or a small portion of the total.

I also paid with my Disney VISA. I couldn't remember my credit limit, so I had my guide split it over 2 months. It worked out really well.

That is how we bought -- Disney VISA for the rewards points then pay it off when the bill comes.

You can if you get the balance transfer checks. You simply write the check to yourself, deposit it in your bank. It takes about a week for the check to clear, then you get a bank check for closing.

I did this ( but not with Disney ) to get a 3.9% financing for the life of the loan on my BWV resale.

We used our Disney Visa cards!! I split it between our 2 cards. Can't wait to see all of those points add up!!!!!

We used our Disney Visa for the down payment and not only got the points, we also got deferred payment at 0% interest for 6 months.

Rob :)

I recently stopped using my Disney Visa because I kept earning bigger rewards with other credit cards.

Who knows...maybe DV will offer me some better promotions now that I am no longer a loyal customer.

We paid using our Disney Visa too - we actually called Chase up to see if we could have our limit increased in order to put the whole amount on there. They did. Having the reward dollars was a nice bonus for our first trip on DVC. We used it for food and to buy stuff in the parks. Worked great.

I actually wanted to make sure of this, so you can put the down payment on your Disney Visa and it qualifies for the 0% interest for 6 months??

I recently got a new roof on the house. The price estimate was $800 more than my Disney Visa credit limit. I sent an extra $800 payment to Chase the week before I had to pay Lowes, then was able to charge the whole amount on the card as a single payment.

I did call Chase before heading to Lowes to give them a heads up that I was about to make a major purchase.

I trink that offer is over- call Chase and ask to be sure.
