Anyone ever pay room only in advanced...

I like to pay in advance. Disney is getting the money sooner or later, so why put it off?:D I like knowing that the trip is paid for. It also makes checking in just a bit quicker.

I am going in November and paid my room off a few weeks ago on my Disney Visa so I would be sure to get the extra reward dollars! I had no problem at all. I did ask if I would be receiving a receipt and was told that I wouldn't; however, within a week there it was in the mail!!!

well i got a hold of someone they say i cant pay it off on the phone because i booked online,so i have to either cancel it and rebook on the phone to pay it off or pay for it when i get there.

I'm with LorieR...

We are pre-paying on Disney VISA when given money (birthday or the like) and will have room hopefully paid off before arriving. Would have been very easy but...since we had to rebook and upgraded to Honeymoon Suite @ WL, the total is, shall we say, a wee bit more. LOL

this year our trip is paid before we go!!!!!

the only extra $ we need is food and souvies!!!

we leave in 10days and the hotel, tickets, and air(our batgain fair of $67 RT for 2!!!!!) are all paid for

and of course I need extra $ for the surprise TC I have planned for DH he thinks we're taking Mears!!!

this is the first year we,ve paid it off and it sure feels good!!!!

see ya all there

I'm in the pre-pay as much as possible crowd. To help pay for this trip I've used my Disney Visa for everything possible, phone bill, supermarket, tuition etc...I've prepaid my room only reservation, purchased my food vouchers, purchased my AP's at the Disney store etc and in the process I've racked up over $400 Disney Reward's Dollars and I've been paying off the bills as I go so when I get to Disney World I'll have paid in advance for almost everything and get to spend some $ I got for things I would have purchased anyway!

I would rather pay as little in advance as possible. That way I am using my money rather than Disney. I can just as well make weekly/monthly payments to an interest bearing account and make a little money but still have the vacation paid for (by having the money ready to pay when it's due). No point in letting Disney earn the interest on my money!

Our last visit we paid for our room in advance and it was so nice to have it already paid before our trip even started. All we had to worry about on our trip was food and souveniers.
