Anyone ever ordered a birthday cake for breakfast?

I know this may sound silly, but here's the logic:

We are going on a big family trip at the end of November. My IL's are taking DS3.5 with them so DH and I can have a private dinner together to celebrate my birthday. However, the whole gang is getting together for breakfast at Chef Mickey's that AM and I would rather get a cake to share with the whole group.

What are your thoughts? Anyone else done this?

We are doing an 8:10 AM Cindy for my DD birthday - but she is just getting a cupcake.

Lunch at WCC - my guest a cupcake for her.

We are ordering a cake for dinner at 1900 Park Fair.

Cake in the early AM - I would not do.
If you have a late breakfast 10 am or so - then a cake maybe ok - sort of like a brunch. By the time the cake would arrive at your table, it would be almost 11 am :goodvibes

heck its your birthday! if disney is willing to honor the request, i say go for it, and enjoy a piece of birthday cake with all your family. :O)

Never have but.. I've never ordered a cake at wdw.. yet!!! :rotfl:

That being said I've CERTAINLY had leftover bday cake for breakfast. People eat danishes, right? or donuts? what's the difference... have your cake! (for breakfast)... and eat it too! :rotfl2:

I have reservations at Chef Mickey on my children's bday, 11:20am. I am going to order a cake. I figure we will be there at least an hour right? That puts us plenty late enough for cake :thumbsup2 !

We were at DL at the Lilo and Stitch Character breakfast in Nov. - 3 weeks after my DD's birthday. The hostess overheard us joking about her unbirthday trip, and arranged for her favorite- Pluto to bring her a cupcake. Very special unbirthday indeed!!!

I've never ordered a cake either, but I see nothing wrong with ordering the cake for breakfast! I think it would be fun! Also, as someone else said, it's certainly no worse than a donut!

DD and DH celebrated their birthday 2 yrs ago at CRT for breakfast. Both got birthday cupcakes and ate them! I don't see any problem with cake for breakfast on your birthday!

Happy Birthday!

There's NOTHING wrong with having cake for breakfast, especially for a birthday! Plus you're on vacation- so live a little! ;) I'd personally eat cake for breakfast everyday, if the scale would allow it :teeth:

Well, I wouldn't do it every day, but that's when the family will be together, you're at Disney, you're on vacation, and it's what you want! I think it'd be fun and I vote you go for it. :)

If you decide against the cake, you could always ask if they'd bring your table your own breakfast pizza (or whatever they do at CM) with candles in it. lol
