my boyfriend is following the directions he got offline for the coconut curry chicken soup from boma and i'm really excited about it.

anyone ever try to make something from one of the disney restaurants and have it come out similar?

i guess this will be a good test as to how good a chef he is. haha. :lmao:

Absolutely! Some of my favorites are French Toast Loaf from the Main St Bake Shop, YSH's horseradish Mashed Potatoes, and white chocolate creme brulee from PYC. Well, I haven't eaten at PYC yet but I plan to check it out in a couple weeks so then I can compare mine to theirs. ;)

we make tonga toast almost every Sunday morning :coffee:
from the Kona cafe
my DD's favorite

Someone should start a thread (a sticky?) with DW recipes. :thumbsup2 Where do you guys get the recipes from anyway?

I make the cheese soup, salmon and cream cheese mashed potatoes from Le Cellier, the Alfredo from Italy, and the tomato soup from the Plaza. It all turns out very well, I think.

I make the French Toast Loaf quite often. It's so yummy!

wow this is great to hear! my boyfriend keeps raving about how he loved the soup when we went back in jan and he was soooo excited to find the recipe on allears. he actually told me that we can go back to disney just so he can get his soup! haha.

I meant to add, good luck with the soup. Let us know how it comes out. :thumbsup2

someone posted a link to a new? website www.wdwrecipes.com

Honey sesame chicken (Nine Dragons)
Cheddar cheese soup (LeCellier)
Libety tree pot roast
Breakfast pizza (CP/CM)
Tonga toast (Kona)
Wild mushroom & chicken pasta (CP - yum!)

to name a few... try the WDW cookbooks too!

I have been searching for the onion ring dip recipe from 50's Prime Time if anyone knows how to make it please pm me!!!!

My parents have one of the old recipe books, and we make the Beef Barley Soup from King Stephans quite a bit! Its wonderful!

it turned out great! tasted just like the stuff from boma.

i'll have to try some other recipes now. i really wanted to go to kona for breakfast last jan, but my boyfriend isn't a morning person, so we went for dinner. maybe i'll try to make the tonga toast!

the french toast loaf from mk is fantastic, maybe i'll have to try that too! haha.

We've made cheddar cheese soup from Le Cellier, chicken corn chowder from Boma and the ribs from Boma. The soups were so delicious. The ribs were terrible but I don't think we had the right recipe. I got it from the Internet (had a can of coke in it) but it didn't taste at all like what we had at Boma. That was a big bummer! If anyone has the right recipe, please post!

Tonga Toast from Kona, Sesame Chicken from Nine Dragons, Oyster Brie Soup from Brown Derby, and Triple Chocolate Moose Stampede from WL. All excellent!

We made them and decided not to put in coke like it said in the recipe. It was delectable! Try it without the coke!

We figured out the measurements for the Welsh Dragon drink from Rose and Crown! We drink it almost weekly. The ingredients were on the menu so we just played around a bit and in about 20 minutes we had a close version. We just wish it was stronger, but it's very very refreshing. I tried it after waiting outside of test track for DH and DD7 for about 90 minutes when it broke down last July when we were there. I told my DH to order me a drink and I could've drunk at least 3. Combination of ingredients sounds strange but it's so god (OJ, Pineapple juice, midori, peachtree schnapps and a shot of creme de menthe).
Can't wait to have several in July and more in December.:santa:
