Anyone ever lose a pet?

My dog is VERY sick and my mom and dad just took her to the vet. They said there's a good chance she'll get put to sleep! For the past hour, me and my sister have been ttl wrecks. i really don't know wut to say to her.......i have said many prayers to god asking for him to please bring her home but i don't think it'll happen! i am soooooooo lost and i don't know wut to do. we have had her since before i was born in 1993! she is old but i don't want to loose her already! i hate crying in front of my sister cause if i do, she knows somethings wrong. wut really scares me is that my dad is scared. my mom always told us not to worry but if one of them start to worry, then you worry and i don't want to worry, i want to know for a fact if my doggy is coming home or not! i'll kepp u updated on her and wheather or not she comes home!

I know how you feel. The part I bolded just happened to me also on Friday, 8 days ago. I have never been without her. And I keep hearing her, her tags on her collar hitting eachother making a noise. She was 16 years old(older than me). I'm gonna miss her so much!

And I am very sorry for the lose of your dog also.

my dog's lab results came back yesterday. she doesn't have cancer or any other diesease.: the vet said she's fine and she still has a couple more years in her! they said they really have no idea what's wrong with her.they gave her some special food and pills and she's doing fine now! i even took her for a walk a couple days ago and she was running!!!

im glad to hear shes okay.

my dog alex died january 6th of this year. he was really sick and my mom took him to the vet. they said that they were going to perform surgery on him and if he had stomach cancer, they were just not going to wake him up. i remeber sitting at home, starring at the clock like an idiot. my mom kept asking me "do you want to see him? do you want to tell him goodbye?" and i just couldnt. i refused to go, because if i did see him i knew that id be selfish and want him to come home. so when the doctor called us and told us that alex wasnt coming home i was devestated. i miss him so much. we cremated him so i can "have him with me always" and his collar is in my car.

im very glad you dont have to go through that! youre very blessed!

Emma and Becka, my dog is really, really sick at the moment. The vets say that she just has parasites, but she is really weak and disoriented. I know that the end is near, and I think I'm prepared, but it really helps to hear that you girls have gone through the same thing so recently.

OMG!!!!!!!
My dog (the sick one) ran away thursday night! we were leaving friday morning for columbus! we searched for hours and couldn't find her so we left to columbus. we were at the COSI (science museum) there and my dad called the vet to cancel her appoitment. but they had said that someone called in and had found her!!!!! so, we called my grandma and she went and picked her up. now, she is safely at home with us!
CONDITION:
she is actually doing very well.......we got her some healthy food that she really likes so she's got a couple years left!!!

My cat had to be put to sleep a few weeks ago.
She was a year older than me, and she started to have trouble breathing. We hought she had asthma and she got steroids, but a few months later we found out she had lung cancer. She got really bad really fast. One day she was fine, the next she was sooooo skinny and couldn't move. It was horrible to watch her in so much pain.

i dont know if i told ya'll this but when i was six, i killed my hamster by accident. it was the night of thanksgiving and i was getting my hamster outto play with but when i picked him up and put him in his ball, he wouldnt move! my dad was doing evreything he could to get the little guy to wake up but he never did! my mom later realized that i had squished him to death...........i am now, a hamster killer.............
