Anyone ever have their ADR #'s challenged?

I've never called to reconfirm my ADR's and never had a problem. However, with all the restaurants getting booked up for Free Dining, I just wondered if anyone had a CM not seat them despite having their ADR #'s on hand - ?

Once, many moons ago - I had # in hand, but it wasn't on their roster.

I just basically begged, and was seated promptly. But I'm guessing this is an unusual glitch.

Gliches do happen, although rarely. Last October I was there and called to cancel an ADR for the California Grill and they had it for the wrong day. Usually, Disney Dining will correct their mistakes.

Same here. At LTT, they didn't have us listed by name. Gave them the #, and we were booked for 2 days later. We were pretty sure that wasn't our mistake (well...because we're perfect! :teeth: ), but who knows...it could've been my goof. Anyway, they were very nice to give us a table anyway, and quickly. Efficient and friendly. They canceled our ressie (set for two days later) at our request.

No problems, even though they were turning away everyone without a ressie.

I did once a few years ago at Garden Grille. They had no record of my PS. They did eventually honor it, but we had to wait a while. They were going to tell me I was completely out of luck.

at 'Ohana. I didn't confirm my PS's before my trip. I had a PS #, but they didn't have it on their list. I tried my hardest short of starting a scene, but it was not the fault of the CMs at the podium. It was either my mistake (I don't think so), or CRO. Either way, the restaurant was very busy and obviously they had not planned for my family. To squeeze us in, at a restaurant that was already really busy, might have really messed them up. We left, ate elsewhere. That did not ruin my entire trip or anything, it was a mild disappointment and an inconvience (we wasted time taking transportation to get there, etc). But we were at WDW.

We've never had a problem, but I do carry a small piece of paper that has all the ADR numbers for the trip, just in case. If for some reason its not in their system or is on a different day, I somehow think I'm more believable with that list in hand.

We ran into a problem in Oct at Alfredo's. THey were going by last name only, didn't seem to care we had a # with us, and they couldn't find our last name. Finally, I am literally hanging over the podium looking at the computer screen upside down when I spot a butchered spelling of our last name.

They were very nice but weren't about to seat us without one. There was a "stand by" line outside about a mile long that we were told to join when they couldn't find our name to begin with. With a smile and some perserverance, our reservation was found ;)

This just happened to us on our trip in April. It actually happened twice! Once was at Rainforest Cafe at AK- they had no record of us, and I had my ADR confirmation # with me, and offered to give them the #, but they said it's okay and sat us- then the same thing happened again at Nine Dragons in China- again I offered to show them the # but they seated us right away anyway.
I always carry a a paper with me of all my ADR's and #'s on it.

This is a huge worry for me. I've made all of my ADRs for our trip in Nov/Dec and have confirmed them. One, in particular, I could only get for 5:40. I called back and on the 3rd try they had 4:00, 4:15 and 4:30. I took 4:15. I couldn't believe it....really. I called back a few days later to make a few more ADRs and confirmed that one while I had them on the phone. They had it. All was well. I will call AGAIN a few days before I leave in Nov to reconfirm all of my ADRs. I'm kinda paranoid.

Once you get to your resort(provided your staying on property), you can go to the concierge's desk and ask them to print out all your ADR'S. That's what we did the last time. We also reconfirm before we leave home because you never know. But at least if you do that as soon as you get there, if there is a problem, you can try to fix it.

We had a mix-up last December at LTT before MVMCP. We had a trip planned for the previous May that was cancelled at the last minute because I had emergency surgery. So DH talked with someone in Guest Relations to figure it all out since I was too out of it and she offered to cancel our ADRs. She was too efficient and cancelled the ADR for LTT that I was able to make a few weeks earlier when the MVMCP tix went on sale.

As I said, I didn't discover it until we arrived. P-A-N-I-C! They were nice about it and squeezed us in since they were able to pull up the confirmation # and see that So-and-so in Guest Relations cancelled it on May X.

In any case, I always carry a spreadsheet with all the relevant info.

I remember back in January of 1999 while my family & I were waiting for our table at Whispering Canyon, a family checked in but the Cast Member said she could not find their ADR. The family said they had just made it on the phone from their room (must have been staying at Wilderness Lodge) & showed them the confirmation number. I don't remember what happened in the end because our table was ready, but I remember the Cast Member telling this family it takes a while for their name to be entered into the computer system after the ADR has been made.

I think it was at Crystal Palace they didn't want to seat us because they had a very badly spelled version of our name(it's 11 letters, we always spell it out for them, but sometimes they still get it wrong). We had the reservation number, but they still gave us some trouble. They sat us eventually.

Always a good idea to have those numbers with you--and even better (as Luvmickey suggests) to get that print-out if you are staying on Disney property. I was given a somewhat hard time at Wolfgang Pucks "fine dining" until I pulled out that printout with the #'s on it.

I do the exact same thing and even have the list with the ADR #'s laminated. Of course I'm also one of those that always call about a week before the trip to verify all those numbers and dates. This past May over half of my ADRs were missing when I called to verify them. The CM finally found them listed under my cell phone number (oops, my fault, although I don't know how, as I always give WDW my home phone number :confused3 ).

We have only had one problem and it turned out that the CM put us down for the wrong day. The date they had us down for was over a month away when we wouldn't even be at the parks. They let us in anyway without a problem.
