Anyone ever have a claim (auto) against USAA insured driver?

OOOOO A zombie thread.

5 out of 10 zombies said just eat the brains of the insurance adjuster.
3 out of 10 zombies said ask for a meeting at the office so you can get the brains of em all.
1 zombie kicked in our tail light and another asked us if we needed an adjuster. We just said no problem, it needed to be fixed anyway and sped away ending the survey.

I was hit in October 2018 by a USAA driver & for some reason the law & my insurance had an extremely hard time getting the at fault drivers complete info, but thats not even the worst part, after my insurance moved my totaled vehicle to another garage, 3 days after being there its suddenly drivable enough (despite it couldnt even be moved out the road after accident) but somehow 3 days later a known crack head was able to steal my vehicle before the the adjuster got to officially total it, but my insurance which i called doa took care of my rental for 6wks still had no word from at fault drivers insurance, then after so many days had to consider it a total loss under my fire & theft insurance, which i had to pay my deductible, & even though the other guy was at fault it seemed he was goin to get off free, not too mention the negligence of the tow yard that knew an employee obviously had been making "adjustments" on my vehicle to where he was able & free to "drive it around the lot" & forgot the keys in it..knowing this vehichle was gettin totaled out ok..jan 2019 3mons later i finally recieved notice of the claim thru USAA, but so far my insurance paid 500+ for Rental, and was reimbursed 800+ which i dont understand why they got paid more, when i had to extend the rental from my own pocket for over a week..now there's 2 claims open again against the tow company & the USAA driver but right now hes only reimbursed for rental, nothing under collision, but yet still says in payment in process but if theyre not making no payment under collision what would it fall under, & then theres the deductible recovery, & im not sure what the tow yard will be responsible for...but if anyone understands any of the payments & issues please explain them to me, bc 5 mons is ridiculous when theres absolutely NO doubt whos at fault, & 2 eyewitness as well as the af drivers own statement, but when u go off the main road on passenger side trying to pass a stopped vehicle waiting to turn but rather than hitting a pole u cut back & hit the passenger front fender so hard pushing the car into the oncoming traffic lane & had he not shoved my tire into my fender so bad making my cars wheels lock up & dead stop, he'd pushed me into the rock hill after pushing me acrossed the other lane where oncoming traffic couldve made this even worse..

Interesting first post. And Zombie thread or not, just a friendly suggestion to break up text with periods and line breaks.

We are insured by USAA and have always been extremely satisfied. I had a car totaled in a hail storm last summer and they were great. But, my niece was hit by a USAA insured ( maybe if her premium was current) driver about two weeks ago. They simply refused to talk to my brother-told him to file a clam with Allstate as, even though the police report put their insured at fault, it was he said she said and they could not just pay the claim. He is petty pissed but honestly somewhat unreasonable as he was trying to avoid paying his deductible by not filing a claim with AllState.

It doesn't matter what the police report says. Your BIL files a claim with his insurance company, pays the deductible, his insurance company negotiates with the other person's USAA insurance company and that's typically how it works.

The reason I say this is because, with many insurance companies (even your own), the driver who was involved in the accident (not the insured) would be required to provide a recorded statement as to what happened.
