Anyone ever had someone use their wedding album as a coaster?

So I had a pearl party at my house yesterday, and the demo lady put the plate that we were opening oysters on, ontop of my wedding album that was sitting on the hutch behind her!!

Luckily no damage was done, or she would have been the one paying for my wdw vow renewal!!

I don't know when it become acceptable to put anything holding liquid in it anywhere other than a bar, covered table or on a coaster as a GUEST in someone's house.


Maybe I have PMS and and am overreacting but I really don't believe I am. My DH feels the same way and actually wants to call the lady and tell her how rude that was!

I would definitely let her know that behavior is unacceptable. You invited her into your home in a position that would be profitable for her, and she did not take great care of your personal items while doing her job.

I'm sorry that happened to you. Some people are so... clueless is not the right word but I can't find the appropriate word.

After something like this has happened to you, you'll notice that the next time, you'll make sure that every piece of furniture is covered in "paper linens" and nothing of value is within reach.
Can you tell we had something like this happen too??
