Anyone ever had any luck getting late check-out at POR?

We are staying at POR in October. Our flight to come home doesn't leave until 5:00 pm(which means ME probably won't pick us up until 2:00 or so). We would like to spend the morning /early afternoon that day enjoying the resort before we come home . Is there any possibility that we can get late check-out? Has anyone ever done this at POR? Do they charge for this? Any info would be appreciated!!!

When we stayed at POFQ in March, I requested late check-out, but I was only asking for noon. There was no charge and they said it wasn't a problem. It was quite easy. Hope you have the same luck.

Last August when we stayed our flight did not depart until 5 as well, we had no problem staying later (I think we officially checked out at 1) you just have to call the housekeeping line the nite before and ask for permission and they will see if it is available. If it isn't you could always check out at the normal time and leave you luggage with the front desk and enjoy the pool. I always remember ME coming soooo early, but anything is too early to leave!!!!

Not POR, but we stayed at CBR and had a 9:30PM flight. We asked for last check-out. Was no problem. They store your luggage and when the ME picks you up, your luggage is there. No problems whatsoever.
