We are booked for adjoining Standard rooms with "Savannah View". Just wondering if anyone else has stayed there with adjoining rooms and if these types of rooms are on every floor. Hoping that we truly do get Savannah view. Can anyone give me some information that would put my fears to rest?? :bitelip:

They exist. We had a room that could be adjoining last year on zebra trail on second floor. We only had one room. We didn't get them one year there, but our other room didn't arrive till a day later and I think that had a lot to do with it.

We just got back and had connecting rooms-3522 & 3524 on Zebra Trail, but it was on Uzima Savannah, not Arusha like we requested. One room had the bunk beds and one had the two queens. They were on the same floor as the lobby.

Just be aware that adjoining is not the same as connecting. Adjoining means the rooms are nearby. Connecting means that two adjacent rooms share a connecting door.

How many people stayed in these rooms?? We have six. You had one room with queens and one with bunk beds? So these rooms could each sleep 4? Was the view good from the other savannah?
Thanks for your input! Dee

Each room can sleep 4. One room had 2 queens and the other had bunk beds with one queen. The Arusha Savannah was really nice...More lush. I'm not sure what I was expecting. The Uzima that we had was more scrub brushes and stuff. Just like a Savannah, as my husband said, it's supposed to be scrubby! We did see a lot of animals, they were just a little further away because of the people pen under our window. My original price for the room was about $320. With a postcard, I had a rate of $166. It would not have been worth $320 in my opinion for that room.

We had adjoining rooms on the fourth floor facing Uzima savannah and thought it was wonderful. We will be going back to AKL in January 2006 and have read so many wonderful reports about all of the savannahs that I'm not sure I would even request a particular one. I do prefer Zebra trail because it is closer to restaurants, arcase, pool and bus stop, although Kudu wouldn't be too bad as long as you weren't way at the end. I get the impression that adjoining rooms are plentiful and I thought I read somewhere that they are all configured with two queens in one and a queen and bunks in the other. Not positive though. It is a beautiful, unique resort!

Forgot about this...it was a connecting room with the door between.
