Anyone ever had a root canal done?

I've had, at last count six (that's right, 6) root canals (2 from a childhood accident). The technology and speed of this procedure has, in my opinion, vastly improved in the last 15-20 years. Like at least one other poster said, nasty stuff (taste, smell and touch) is up next for you.
