Anyone ever go to Guest Relations at Downtown Disney to upgrade tickets?

I don't want to do this at a ticket booth when we get to a park because who feels like doing that instead of just going in haha so I wanted to go to Guest Relations in Downtown Disney the day we arrive to upgrade our tickets to annual passes and also purchase a Tables in Wonderland card (I'm a DVC member). I was just wondering if anyone could confirm for me that you can pay for both these things there with Disney gift cards???

Yes, this is possible and should not be a problem. We did it a few years back and a friend just did it the last week of March with no problems. The CM she called actually recommended doing this.
They will accept Disney gift cards.

Another question about ticket upgrades...Can they only be done at the parks or at DTD? Can it be done over the phone prior to arrival? Can it be done at concierge at a resort (I know i have bought tickets at the resort before). Sorry if this has already been answered but I didn't find the ingo quickly enough searching for myself.
