We are taking the Baltic Cruise in June 2010 and we wanted to go from the Dover Cruise Terminal to Disneyland Paris. The only connection we can seem to find is about an hour away by Train from Dover. Does anyone know an easier way to reach the high speed train for the Chunnel?

Thanks

The Eurostar Disney Express train runs from St Pancras in London and Ashford in Kent. There are no other points of entry to it, so you would need to get a train from Dover to Ashford. Also the direct train only leaves once a day and you would need to be at Ashford at about 8am. You have more time options if you don't get the direct train, but then you need to change at Lille.

If you're happy driving then you could get a ferry from dover across to france and rent a car threre and drive (about 3 hours)

If you dont have a car you'll have to get the eurostar from either ashford or london. As the 'chunnel' as you said is the train that does from the english coast to thr french coast only and you have to drive a car onto it to get on.

Eurostar is the passenger train which goes direct to either paris or disneyland paris. You could always have a day or two in london and then get the train from there to DLP.

Been giving this some thought and the the only other alternative I can come up with is cross the channel by ferry (Dover -> Calais) as foot passengers.
Then catch a train from Calais to Paris or DLRP.
Taken this information from another website.
Catch a train from Calais to Paris Nord. This service takes roughly an hour and runs regularly. It should cost on average about £26 return. Once in Paris take the RER A train, it’s then only 35 - 40 minutes from the centre of Paris to Marne-la-Vallée / Chessy station. When departing from Paris ensure that you are headed in the direction for Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy, and that the signs state that the train does actually stop at Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy, as some trains do terminate before then. Avoid trains with the destination 'Boissy'. The last train back to Paris is just after midnight, so if you are not stopping over dont get caught out! (it might only be 19 miles, but its a very long walk!). :)

I don't have an answer for you, but wanted to share what we did several years ago.
We flew from Newark NJ to CDG on Continental, took the bus to DLP and stayed 2 nights at Hotel New York. Took the Eurostar from the DLP station to London. Stayed overnight in London, then took the train to Southampton for our cruise on Princess. On our return, we stayed in London, then flew back to Newark NJ on Continental.
We are also booked on the June 12th, 2010 Baltic, and are also interested in DLP. Not sure what we are going to do yet, but will share info as the cruise gets closer.

Thanks everyone lots of good advice, I think because of the connection difficulties we are most likely going to do Paris first, then the cruise, and save London for after the cruise. Just seems alot easier logistically.

We're taking the Baltic cruise as well, and I've been trying to sort out these same logistics.

One thing I'm trying to sort out is just when it will be possible to make reservations at DLP. Right now, looking at the schedule, it's seems like I can only book out about 5 months. Is this just how DLP works? I'm hoping to lock down my airline tickets in June 2009 when we hit one year out, but I'm concerned about doing that if I won't be able to book DLP until January 2010.

Does anyone know if that's just how the windows work at DLP, and if so, how hard does it tend to be to get reservations you want for very specific dates?

Thanks.

Chris

Hi Bookings for Summer 2010 should be able to be made from winter 2009. The bookings for next years summer season should open shortly (I think in the next few weeks), so no there isnt just a 5 month window it just appears to be that way at the minute, and once these are released it should help to price up a trip!

It is alot easier to get hotel reservations for Disneyland Paris than WDW, the hotels do tend to operate at full capacity but people don't seem to book their holidays as far in advance.

In terms of restaurants reservations you have an official 60 day reservation window although many people on here have booked their tables earlier. I wouldn't stress about restaurants reservations though, were going in a month and just phoned up the other day and got every single time slot we wanted!

As your going in the summer (and I think the parks will be noticebly busier with fellow Disney Cruisers visiting at this time) I would book in advance, so you get the reservation you want. :)
